Double celebration for Aerelink

Over 50 of the region’s business leaders and dignitaries attended an event on Tuesday where Aerelink was presented with the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise by the Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen.

The event also marked the transfer of Aerelink’s operations to Turnstone Business Park- a new Priority Sites development on the Widnes Waterfront.  It is expected that over 10 new jobs will be created over the next few months.

Founder and managing director Steve Swift said; “The move to Halton marks an exciting phase of development for us. The support infrastucture in the region coupled with the need for significant additional space were important factors in our decision to relocate.

“This is a positive and exciting step for the company and we believe we are now in an ideal environment to grow further. Being presented with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise is a tremendous accolade and testament to the hard work and commitment of the whole team.”

Chief executive of Halton Borough Council David Parr said: “Aerelink is a dynamic and progressive business which has already achieved a great deal. We have worked closely with the team to ensure the company has access to the right resources to enable it to thrive in Halton and are confident it has a bright future. The borough is continuing to attract quality technology firms and this is more good news for the region.”

Aerelink has invested heavily in the relocation. Management have ambitious plans for further growth with turnover expected to reach £5m over the next three years.
